Intercalated BSc - programme information
The regulations are the 'Rules' which define how your year mark is calculated, and what you must do to progress to your next year of study. The Regulations are posted on this webpage at the start of the academic year, and may only be changed with agreement from both staff and students.
All exams and coursework, their pass-marks, and their contributions to the overall year mark are stated in this document, along with a description of the marks required to pass the year, and the implications should a student not satisfy those criteria.

The Departmental Student Handbook is published at the beginning of each academic year.
The handbook contains very important information for your academic life, and also for your life at Imperial outside of work. You should familiarise yourself with the contents of the handbook as soon as possible so that if an event or circumstance arises, you know where to find information on what action to take and the support available to you.
The information in the handbook was correct at the time of publishing. Students should be aware that occasionally changes have to be made. Please check your emails regularly for updates.
Included in the handbook is information on:
- What to do if you run into difficulties affecting your academic or personal life, such as illness
- Departmental and university contacts and resources available to you
- Programme delivery and assessment
- Departmental and university policies and procedures
Student handbooks:
The programme specification provides a definitive record of the main features of the programme and the learning outcomes that a typical student may reasonably be expected to achieve and demonstrate if s/he takes full advantage of the learning opportunities provided. This programme specification is intended as a reference point for prospective students, current students, external examiners and academic and support staff.
