About Design Engineering - Information and School Talks

The following videos provide a flavour of the Design Engineering MEng degree programme at Imperial College. We welcome you to share these with your students. 

If you would like to know more about Design Engineering, we would be delighted to arrange a follow-up Q&A session with our current undergraduate students. We are particularly keen to reach out to years 9-11, who may be considering their pathway into higher education, and to students from underrepresented groups in HE. Supporting Maths attainment at A Level

We know that attainment in A-level Maths and Further Maths can be a barrier for some students applying to study STEM subjects at university. The Imperial College Outreach department runs two Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in A Level Maths and A Level Further Maths, which aim to raise attainment in advanced mathematics among young people from underrepresented backgrounds. These programmes are open to students in Year 12 and Year 13 who meet the eligibility criteria (see the above link for further details).

In collaboration with Woodhouse College, Imperial College has also opened a specialist mathematics school for sixth form students in Barnet, North London, which aims to target underrepresented groups in STEM. Applications are now open for the first cohort of students, who will join in September 2023.

Imperial College London Engineering Outreach Activities

Imperial College’s Outreach department runs an inspiring programme of events to enable students from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain insights into futures in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
