Research Assistant/Associate

Job summary

The project's goal is to develop complex transcranial current stimulation to aid auditory and speech processing. The rhythm of speech, as evident in the speech envelope, is tracked by cortical activity, and this tracking plays a role in speech processing. Recent studies have shown that the cortical tracking can be influenced by non-invasive alternating current stimulation, and that this can modulate the perception of speech in noise.
