This module is a progression from Solid Mechanics 1, and develops key foundational principles for later modules, such as Robotics and FEA. The module focuses on Kinematics, and Dynamics of rigid bodies, Vibrations and Stress Analysis is also included.

## Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module, students will be better able to:

•   Manipulate algebraic expressions of statics and dynamics problems.
•   Apply methods of mathematical analysis.
•   Apply a range of numerical and computational methods.
•   Construct mathematical models that capture the key features of a mechanics problem.
•   Interpret mathematical results and their implications in the mechanics context.
•   Represent mechanics concepts in sketches and visual forms.
