AKER SCHOLARSHIP - IS A GRANT AWARDED TO STUDENTS WHO WANT TO APPLY FOR MASTER’S OR PHD AT SOME OF THE WORLD’S LEADING UNIVERSITIES.
The scholarship is open to applicants from all academic disciplines. You apply to Aker Scholarship one year before embarking on your studies (or you may apply in the fall as you begin your studies).

To be eligible you must be Norwegian or have a strong link to Norway: you must have lived in Norway for several years and speak Norwegian.

The Aker Scholarship provides funding that complements other sources of financial support. You will normally not incur any additional student loans during the course of your degree. The scholarship comes with no strings attached.

Aker Scholarship is more than financial support. We guide you through the application process and provide follow up throughout the entire program.

We award scholarships to students to study at the following universities:
Caltech, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, University of Pennsylvania, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, National University of Singapore (NUS)

To be considered for a Scholarship for one of the above MSc programmes in academic year 2024-25, please apply for the course via the Imperial College MSc graduate course admissions process by 24 May 2024, and complete the scholarship application form by 11am (UK time) on 7 June 2024.

 MSc + PhD departmental scholarships for women – apply by 30 May 2023

ESE is pleased to offer a departmental scholarship available to women for an MSc plus PhD, for 2023 entry.

The scholarship will be awarded to women who demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential and are open to Home and Overseas applicants.

The Scholarship will cover tuition fees for Home or Overseas students and a bursary for the one-year MSc course, followed by a fully-funded stipend at 3.5 year UKRI (plus 3 years tuition at OS rate) PhD in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering. To be eligible for a scholarship, candidates must fulfil the course’s eligibility criteria and must have submitted an application for the MSc course through the Imperial College MSc programme admissions process including submitting all required documents.

British Council STEM Scholarship for Women - now closed

The British Council STEM Scholarships for women 2023/24 applying for the MSc Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning programme are providing full scholarships for female students from Egypt.

Aziz Foundation / Imperial College Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning Scholarship

The scholarship offers a unique opportunity for an exceptional Muslim student active in British Muslim communities and keen to build bridges with all parts of British society. The student will have the commitment and intelligence to support and represent Muslim communities in wider society, as well as the credibility to bring and explain new learning experiences back to the community, and will thus create mutual understanding between Muslims and others and contribute to the creation of a more cohesive society.

The scholarship will cover the full home tuition fee.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Have an offer (or have submitted a complete application) to the MSc Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning programme for October 2023 entry.
  • Be active within their local and/or faith community and demonstrate a desire to develop intellectual skills within a multi-faith/secular environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate long-term commitment to community/societal development and good relations work through public leadership.
  • Be a UK national and eligible for Home fee status at the University.
  • Submit a statement of no more than 1,000 words setting out how you meet the criteria above, addressing also how you hope to use this scholarship for your future work.

The Women in Mining UK Scholarship supports a woman on the Metals and Energy Finance MSc programme. Women in Mining UK promotes the employment, retention and progress of women in the mining industry. The scholarship is for female applicants to the course starting in 2024. The scholarship is for £12,000 to support your studies.

Bank of Montreal Scholarship

The Bank of Montreal (BMO) has made a gift to Imperial to establish the BMO Scholarship for Women in Metals and Energy Finance. The scholarship, which was first awarded for the 2015-2016 academic year, is open to female applicants to the MSc in Metals and Energy Finance starting in 2024 who demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential. The scholarship covers tuition at UK rates and a bursary.
