The Sir Hugh Ford Series of Distinguished Lectures is an event series where invited leading researchers in the field of engineering present their legacy. The series is named in honour of Sir Hugh Ford, former Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering (1966-1978), FRS, President of IMechE and Institute of Metals, Pro-Rector of Imperial College London, knighted in 1975. The first lecture in the series took place in 2016.
The next event in this series will take place on 10 October 2025. The speaker will be Adrian Bejan, J.A. Jones Distinguished Professor, Duke University.
