Job summary

We are seeking to employ a Research Assistant on a 6-month contract to work in the research group of Dr Spyros Masouros at Imperial. The selected researcher will join an internationally-regarded, dynamic, friendly, diverse, and inclusive team working on improving the outcomes of musculoskeletal injury.

Duties and responsibilities

The project involves designing and procuring to manufacture testing fixtures for spinal implant testing against industrial standards, benchmarking this capability using spinal implants from collaborators, and developing ‘digital twins’ of all testing procedures using finite element analysis.

Essential requirements

The researcher is expected to have experience in delivering project for industry, and expertise in finite element analysis, mechanical testing, and design. They will have an MEng in Biomedical Engineering with at least one year of working experience.
