The research will be part of a H2020 European project for digital twining for transformative air vehicle with IoT sensors.

 

 

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

You will be developing a digital twin based on the in-service and continuous data gathered by multiple sensors (strain, temperature, pressure), combined with physical based models and advanced data-driven methods to predict the current and future states of the air vehicle in real-time. You will work in an active group working on structural integrity and health monitoring and will work with other collaborators within the project and engage in meetings and presentations within the project and beyond.

Essential requirements

Those appointed at Research Associate level

Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Engineering (Aeronautics, Mechanical, Electrical) or a closely related discipline.

 

Those appointed at Research Assistant level

A first / masters degree (or equivalent) in in Aeronautics, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or a closely related discipline

 

*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £36,045 - £39,183 per annum.
