Job summary

We are seeking to employ an experience Research Technician on a 50% basis / 24-month contract, to work in the research group of Dr Ishihara at Imperial College London, Department of Bioengineering. Ishihara lab is focusing on the development of cancer and autoimmune medicine. The selected technician will join an internationally-regarded, dynamic, friendly, diverse and inclusive team working on the application of cutting-edge drug development, addressing current challenges in key areas such as cancer immunotherapy, specifically ovarian cancer. This post offers an excellent opportunity to work in the cutting edge research team and in coordination with the wider Bioengineering technical and safety teams.

Duties and responsibilities

This position is for a dedicated technician to help in the research group coordination, including H&S, and work directly on development of new therapeutics. Additionally the postholder will assist, as required, in relevant undergraduate practical teaching laboratories.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in protein, oncology and cell experiments alongside laboratory management and training of others in scientific techniques. Primarily the candidate will help in vitro experiments. 

The candidate will help in the management and administrative aspect of the Ishihara laboratory.
