Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our group on a Wellcome Trust funded 3-year postdoctoral position. The position is available at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences in the group of Dr Chris Schiering. The Schiering lab studies the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR), a ligand-activated transcription factor capable of sensing environmental pollutants, dietary phytochemicals and microbiota metabolites. Our research group utilizes in vivo models of chronic inflammatory diseases and metabolic disorders in order to unravel the complexities of AHR pathway regulation in various tissues and cell types. Duties and responsibilities

This position provides the opportunity to undertake an ambitious project in a highly dynamic, scientifically stimulating and interactive research environment. 

Essential requirements

The successful candidate will have experience with the design/analysis of genome-wide experimental approaches including ChIP-seq and RNA-seq or have a solid background in Immunology with the desire and ambition to acquire new skills.

The candidate should have a PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology or Biochemistry, a strong publication record (at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal, published or submitted). Exceptional candidates with relevant experience in related disciplines will be considered.
