We are looking for a Research Associate to build a research career in translational research that leverages on collaborations between industry, clinicians, scientists and other NIHR infrastructures.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be part of the core methodology team within NIHR London IVD, contributing to a highly dynamic and multidisciplinary research programme focusing on evidence generation to further methodology research and to enable the design and development of in-vitro diagnostics and medical devices for patients and the NHS. NiHR London IVD forms part of eleven NIHR Medtech and In vitro diagnostic Co-operatives (NIHR MICs) in England.

Essential requirements

Essential requirements include a PhD (or be in the final stages of completion) in health technology assessment, health innovation, health economics or a closely related discipline. Experience in qualitative and quantitative research experience is essential. Experience working with industry or device manufacturers is highly desirable.

Further information

This role is full-time and fixed-term for a year in the first instance.

Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £34,397 - £37,486 per annum.

The College is supportive of flexible working.  The Department is happy to discuss the possibility of implementing such arrangements for this post, with suitably qualified people subject to operational arrangements.
