The Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Assistant to provide high-level professional executive support to senior Professors within the Institute for Reproductive and Developmental Biology (IRDB).
The postholder will play a pivotal role in providing high level support to a number of Professors undertaking a wide range of duties and organisational responsibilities, as well as external commitments.
Duties and responsibilities
The postholder will be responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day management and organisation of the offices of the Professors and provide administrative support. Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to, providing diary management, arranging appointments, visits, drafting correspondence and reports, data entry and analysis, preparing presentations, making travel arrangements, processing financial requirements as well as other administration.
Essential requirements
The post holder will have a proactive approach and possess exceptional organisational, prioritisation and communication skills with the ability to use their initiative to prioritise and manage complex tasks and diary arrangements. The post holder will be confident in working independently and with ambiguity, as well as being a strong team player. Strong analytical and numerical skills would also be advantageous.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably providing support to a senior executive or personal assistant role(s), would be highly desirable, as well as experience within the University or NHS sector.

This is a fulltime and open-ended post and will be split between both the Hammersmith Hospital Campus (East Acton) and the St Mary’s Campus (Paddington), with travel to other college campuses as required.
