Job description

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Process and Project Officer to support the team in developing and implementing new processes in order to help improve the performance and reporting requirements of the team. In the busy and varied role, you will contribute to the development of proposals and commercial tenders and support the team in looking after a portfolio of projects, including but not limited to research and commercial projects.

Over the last five years, our professional team has supported academics to deliver large, high-profile, national and international programmes to over 500+ clients, in more than 40 countries.  You can learn about some of our projects here: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/research-and-innovation/support-for-staff/imperial-projects/project-successes/

Duties and responsibilities

You will be required to maintain the quality of IPROJ opportunities and projects data in Enterprise systems and support the development of new and existing processes, tools and infrastructure, thereby ensuring high quality reporting for internal and external stakeholders could be achieved.

You will take an active project management approach to the portfolio of projects you are responsible for – developing good working relationships with the academic teams monitoring progress against financial and reporting deliverables, and assisting the academic teams with administration in the delivery of their projects.

Essential requirements

This role requires you to have good organisation skills and flexibility to manage multiple projects to a high degree of stakeholder satisfaction. You will be interfacing with academic staff and professional services teams, so an ability to relate with a range of people at all levels will see you succeed.

In addition, the following experience is essential:

  • Data management experience including process and/or systems management in a technical environment
  • Experience of project management support, thereby ensuring delivery according to schedule, budgetary and specification requirements.
  • Experience of managing data quality for large data sets in information management systems
