We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Coordinator to support the College's Assistant Provost (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion).
Duties and responsibilities
You will coordinate the planning and delivery of Imperial College’s application for the Race Equality Charter (REC) award and assist with implementation of the action plan that will follow a successful application. You will work closely with the Athena SWAN Coordinator and senior staff across the organisation to ensure that the REC requirements are embedded in the College's policies, procedures and communications.
This career opportunity promises to be rewarding and will use to the maximum your experience gained in roles such as an HR Assistant, HR/HE Administrator, Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator, or similar.
In order to hit the ground running, you will have:
- Previous experience within an HR or HE environment.
- An understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion legislation.
- A high level of computer literacy and experience of working with databases and analysing data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with staff at all levels.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to learn new skills on the job and to use your initiative
- The ability to handle highly confidential information with tact and discretion.
