We are seeking a highly motivated Contracts Manager to support enterprising academics translate their ground-breaking discoveries to build a more sustainable, resilient, healthy and smart society.

Duties and responsibilities

The purpose of the role is drafting and reviewing various types of intellectual property licensing and related commercialisation agreements such as option, evaluation, assignments and revenue sharing agreements. You will be working closely with the Faculty Industry Partnership Commercialisation Teams. There is a wide scope of activity and will include activity across all of all the Faculties at Imperial College. You will be working with the In-House Lawyer to assess deal structures, agreements and offer solutions.  We offer hybrid working, generous annual leave and College closure days, USS Pension scheme and support for professional development.

Essential requirements

You will ideally have gained experience working within either commercial or non-commercial research institutions. Have a knowledge of intellectual property protection laws and methods and experience of technology licensing. A scientific or technical background would also be helpful.

You must be well organised, able to work well independently and in a team and have a positive, can-do approach. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an interest in developing positive working relationships, the ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely to a range of people. Attention to detail and a calm approach are also crucial.
