New News forms launched - 1st stage of News revamp project complete!
The communications division have sucessfully rolled out the updated News form for a new online approach to reporting College news.
Phase 1 - complete
Thanks to all the hard work of ICT, Digital Media and Communications we can now report that the first stage of the new News project has been completed and the News creation forms have been launched led by the Communications and Development Division, with Caroline Davis project managing. This revamp will change how news is presented on the College website; the new approach will offer enhanced presentation of News, better display of news highlights on local pages and improved functionality for all.
The News article creation forms were launched on 6 July 2012 and we have had a great response to our calls for feedback - so a great big thanks to all those who tested the system.
Additional data will be collected in the new forms for a few months. While this will have no impact on the visual display of News articles until Phase 2 is implemented, this will ensure that there is enough News content containing the enhanced material and data to launch the new News design.
We look forward to the new News website design being launched before the start of the academic year in September 2012and anticipate an excellent response from users.
