What to do in a life threatening emergency
In the event of a life critical emergency, please dial 999. This direct contact will save valuable time to get the best assistance which could ultimately save a life. Please do still ensure security the control room are made aware via the SafeZone App or by calling 0207 589 1000 or 4444 (internal), so we can provide direct assistance, and ensure the emergency services get to the location.
What do to in a non-life threatening emergency
Please contact the Security Control room via the SafeZone App or calling us on 0207 589 1000 or 4444 (internal), who can then send valuable assistance to assess the situation, provide first aid and escalate if necessary.
Ways to contact the team
- SafeZone App: We strongly recommend using the SafeZone app as the primary method to reach the Community Safety and Support Team during emergencies. This app allows all students and staff at any College location to swiftly alert, contact, and directly communicate with our team when needed. You can find instructions on how to install and use the app on the SafeZone webpage.
- Phone: If you prefer to call us in an emergency, save our emergency contact number on your mobile: 0207 589 1000. This number can be dialled from any campus location. Additionally, if you are on campus with a physical handset or have a phoneline through Teams, simply dial 4444, (or 42444 for Silwood Park) and you will be connected to the emergency line.
For non-emergency enquiries:
If you need to speak to our team about anything non-urgent, then you can do so by emailing security.control@imperial.ac.uk or get in touch directly with your local community support team. Check the numbers listed below to find the contact details for your campus team.
Reporting incidents:
If you have been involved in, or witnessed, a security incident on campus, you can report it to use via our dedicated report form.
