Attendance

Monitoring student attendance helps us work with you to overcome any difficulties that may be affecting your attendance and engagement with your studies. If you do not make satisfactory academic progress or you are absent without permission, you risk being withdrawn from your course. If you are a Tier 4 visa holder this will result in a report in your change of circumstances being made to the Home Office and they will take action to cancel (curtail) your immigration permission.

If you are having problems and don't know who to talk to, you can find help at Student Support Zone, or contact Kelly Greenwood, the Department's Wellbeing Officer.  You can talk to Kelly about a whole range of non-academic issues such as settling into College life and independent living, relationships, friendships or family worries, mental health, physical health, loneliness, accommodation, financial difficulties or any issue that is having an impact on a student’s wellbeing and academic progress.
