Applicants for MSc Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations are eligible for university-wide scholarships and those offered by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering that are explicitly listed as being available to MSc AIAI.

Imperial Inspires Scholarship

The Department is offering 14 scholarships as part of the Imperial Inspires scholarship programme, worth £15,000.

Dasgupta Scholarship funded by the John Armitage Charitable Trust

One award of £10,000 for a student  with Home tuition fee status who

  • displays exceptional academic achievement and/or potential
  • demonstrates financial need
  • intends to pursue a research project in the application of medical electronics

The scholarship is available for the following courses:

  • MSc Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovation
  • MSc Applied Machine Learning
  • MSc Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuits
  • MSc Communications and Signal Processing
  • MSc Control and Optimisation
  • MSc Sensor Systems Engineering

 

It is a condition of the scholarship that your MSc project will be in an area related to biomedical electronics and will be selected from a range of projects from staff working in this area. 

Application process
  • Recieve an offer of admissions for one of the courses listed above by 6 May 2026
  • Accept your offer by the scholarship application deadline
  • Complete our Scholarship application form by 1 June 2026

 

The Aziz Foundation / Imperial Scholarship

One scholarship is available to provide a unique opportunity for an exceptional Muslim student active in British Muslim communities and keen to build bridges with all parts of British society.  The successful recipient will have the commitment and intelligence to support and represent Muslim communities in wider society, as well as the credibility to bring and explain new learning experiences back to the community.  They will help create mutual understanding between Muslims and others and contribute to the creation of a more cohesive society.

The Aziz Foundation welcomes informal enquiries from candidates considering an application. Enquiries should be made to scholarships@azizfoundation.org.uk.

The scholarship will cover the full home tuition fee.

The scholarship is available for the following courses:

  • MSc Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design
  • MSc Communications and Signal Processing
  • MSc Control, Robotics and Optimisation
  • MSc Future Power Networks
  • MSc Sensor Systems Engineering
Eligibility
  • Hold an offer, or have submitted a complete application for one of the above courses by 28 April 2027
  • Be eligible for Home fee status
  • Be active within your local and/or faith community and demonstrate a desire to develop intellectual skills within a multi-faith/secular environment
    Overall strength of your application and academic references
    Be able to demonstrate long-term commitment to community/societal development and good relations work through public leadership
  • Be Zakat eligible/ in financial need and therefore cannot cover the costs of tuition
  • Have an excellent understanding of your chosen industry and how to progress within it, with relevant, prior experience and/or achievements in the field
  • Have knowledge of how the programme will enable you to generate social impact
  • Commit to join and engage with the Foundation’s alumni support programme and pay forward through participating in in widening participation schemes at your university/volunteering or acting as a mentor
How to apply

 

Stage one: Apply to Electrical and Electronic Engineering- Submit an application for the MSc Future Power Networks, or Sensor Systems Engineering, or Control, Robotics and Optimisation, or Communications and Signal Processing, or Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design by Wednesday 28 April 2027.

Stage two: Submit a statement of no more than 1,000 words setting out how you meet the criteria above, addressing also how you hope to use this scholarship for your future work. Please submit the statement to eee.pgadmissions@imperial.ac.uk by Friday 4 June 2027. Remember to include your full name and your CID in your email.

Stage three: Attend the Interview. If called, please attend the interview with the Department and the Aziz Foundation. It is anticipated that interviews will be held in early July 2027. Please note that we will only contact you if you have been shortlisted. If you do not hear from us, then please assume your application has not been successful.

 

EEE MSc Studentship (EU/EEA offer holders)

This scholarship is for Residents of the EU/EEA and will cover difference between Home and Overseas fees. There are a total of five scholarships awarded. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit, and all applicants who meet the criteria will be considered during the admissions process.

To be eligible, you must submit your application to study by 31 March. Successful applicants will be notified at the end of May.

The scholarship is available to eligible offer holders on the following courses

  • Applied Machine Learning
  • Communications and Signal Processing
  • Future Power Networks
  • Sensor Systems Engineering
