CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We invite all EEE postdoctoral Research Associates and Fellows to participate in the second EEE Postdoc and Fellow Research Symposium. It will be held on 6th February 2018, preceding the annual Gabor lecture. This is an excellent opportunity to present your research to a broad audience of EEE staff and students, as well as industry representatives. Presentations will be 5-10 minutes long and the best presentation will receive an award from our Head of the Department. The winner will be also invited to attend the dinner with the EEE staff and the industry representatives after the Gabor Lecture.

In order to participate in the event:

  1. Please send an e-mail to eepostdoc@imperial.ac.uk to confirm your interest (this helps us prepare the selection process).
  2. Submit an abstract by 10th December 2018 (see below).

Abstracts will be selected to represent a broad range of topics and to be accessible to a wide audience.

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission: 10th December 2018
  • Author Notification: 7th January 2019
  • Research Symposium: 6th February 2019 (afternoon, time TBD)

Instructions for Abstract Submission

  • The abstract must be e-mailed to eepostdoc@imperial.ac.uk as a one-page document in PDF format.
  • Please include in the PDF file the title of your submission, your name and research group.
  • The abstract must be between 150 and 300 words.
  • Please do not include any figures, graphs, tables or references.
  • Your abstract should focus on the research you are personally involved in.
  • Please use clear, simple language and general vocabulary that can be understood by people from different technical backgrounds.
