Overview

The Trauma Management short courses, held at St Mary’s Campus Paddington, consist of two week-long courses; Casualty Reception and Initial Management and Operative Management of Injuries. Attendees can take one or both modules.  Simulation training and hands-on tissue dissection provide a unique learning experience, in addition, the short courses include the following topics: pre-hospital management, emergency room responsibility, intensive care management and rehabilitation.  These short courses will link the differing aspects of trauma care into a cohesive syllabus to give a trauma surgeon a greater insight into overall management.

Who are the courses aimed at

Both courses welcome surgeons in training in the NHS, military personal, healthcare practitioners and multidisciplinary support staff involved in the care and treatment of trauma patients. Discounts are available for NHS employees and military staff.
