Magnus Schoeman, a Biology doctoral student carried out a four-week wood-rot research programme at two sites in Ecuador. This venture was part of a longer-term exercise assessing progress on field trials set up by previous Imperial College expeditions into the efficiency of boron-based wood preservations in a humid, tropical situation. The student worked with Ecuadorean students and established scientists on a specific fungus study.
We don't have a report from this expedition in our archive, if you can help provide one please get in touch.
