The team of four, which included two current Imperial College students, and two former students, cycled for 12 days in September 2021. The route covered 1,300km from Saint Malo in northwestern France to Santander in northern Spain, and included 8,000m of cycled elevation gain. They camped along the way, self-supported, and endeavoured to minimise the environmental impact of their journey.  Although the venture was difficult challenge for the team, and involved them having to endure some gruelling days, the group found other stages very enjoyable, and considered the undertaking a success. It is intended that the expedition will also serve as preparation for a more ambitious cycling undertaking.
