Grantham PhD network
Current Grantham PhD students
In October 2025, the Grantham Institute welcomed eleven new students to their PhD network. These students, funded by NERC and the Grantham Institute, are joining existing SSCP DTP cohorts and taking part in climate change and environmental training and engagement activities. Meet our 2025 intake here.
A generous legacy donation to Imperial has provided funding for eight PhD studentships researching energy-related challenges. Meet the Taylor PhD students.
Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet DTP
The Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet Doctoral Training Partnership (SSCP DTP) is a NERC-funded doctoral training programme led by Imperial. It has been hosted by the Grantham Institute, working with six core partners and over 20 Imperial Departments since 2015. Find out more about the programme.
Current studentship and network opportunities
The Grantham Institute currently offers fully funded PhD studentships in sustainable energy and is calling for Imperial PhDs to join us as Associates.
