MSc in Surgical Innovation - Course Director
How has your career led you to teaching?
My whole career has been built on the wonderful teaching, mentorship and support I have received over many years. Now I am lucky enough to be in a clinical academic role I am delighted to offer something back to the those developing their own careers.
What aspect of the course do you enjoy teaching the most?
I love creating a spark in the minds of the students to believe they can be the surgical innovators of the future.
What do you hope your students will go on to achieve on completion of this course?
I hope they will use the foundation in academic surgery that we provide to build their own research or quality improvement projects.
What is your favorite part about teaching at Imperial College London?
I love the enthusiasm of the students doing our course and the dedication of the staff that delivers the modules.
