Review Lessons Learnt

Description

A Lessons Learned process captures what worked well, what did not work well, and what can be improved for future projects. The Project Manager assigned to a project should review the relevant data sheets from previous projects in the same building/area to establish whether unexpected risks were encountered, or what could have been done better that could be implemented into the current project.

Engagement

To gain the most comprehensive outlook of previous projects, the current PM should engage with key stakeholders from previous projects which could include:

  • Project Manager
  • Senior Supplier or Project Director
  • End User Coordinator

If the PM is encountering difficulties in finding information relating to previous projects, they should contact the Team Administrative Assistant (Molly Dainty - m.dainty@imperial.ac.uk) or Records & Archives Officer (Alyson Brewer - a.brewer@imperial.ac.uk), who may be able to source the relevant data sheets or contact details for key stakeholders.
