Security & Community Safety
Description
The Security and Community Safety (S&CS) Team are an integral part to Imperial College London. For all project work they require oversight of what the project involves from both a technical aspect and an operational aspect. Points to consider are highlighted in the table below.
| Technical | Operational |
|---|---|
| What existing systems will be changed or removed | Does the project present any operational risk while construction works are underway |
| What new systems will be implemented | On completion of the project does the new space change operational risk i.e. is the area now a CBS lab or now leased to an external 3rd party |
| Security system interfaces with other infrastructure e.g. fire alarms, automatic doors, refuge alarms | Does the project cause any operational changes around the campus or building |
| Any bespoke security systems required specifically for this project |
Does the project provide any opportunities for a wider security system upgrade |
Security systems include but are not limited to:
- Security Access Control System (SACS)
- CCTV
- Refuge Alarms
- Intercom
- Public Address System
