Grantham PhD network current students
In October 2025, the Grantham Institute welcomed eleven new students to their PhD network. These students, funded by NERC and the Grantham Institute, are joining existing SSCP DTP cohorts and taking part in climate change and environmental training and engagement activities. Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet DTP
The Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet Doctoral Training Partnership (SSCP DTP) is a NERC-funded doctoral training programme led by Imperial. It has been hosted by the Grantham Institute, working with six core partners and over 20 Imperial Departments since 2015. The SSCP DTP has brought together and trained a new generation of environmental experts and leaders to tackle some of the toughest challenges of our time. Current studentship and network opportunities
The Grantham Institute also offers fully funded PhD studentships. The award covers provides 3.5 years of funding to include tuition fees, a maintenance stipend and research expenses associated with the project. Find out more about current opportunities.
