Learning through acquisition

Acquisition-based learning happens when you are doing things like listening to a lecture or reading on your own. You are receiving or 'acquiring' new information, but as the learner you are not being very active.

More example activities include:

Listening to podcasts or presentations; reading journal articles, papers, websites or blogs; watching lectures on Panopto or videos on YouTube; or reading infographics.

I enjoy reading and watching videos, so I don't mind a bit of acquisition learning. That's what I'm used to from school, actually. I must admit though, I sometimes find it difficult to stay focused for a long time without a break."
