We believe that fostering innovation in health is not just about solving the healthcare challenges of today.
We’re dedicated to training and developing future leaders in healthcare who can bring new thinking to our systems and approaches. We take pride in lending our expertise to support the next generation of healthcare professionals and build capacity so that more people have access to safe, quality care.
Global Patient Safety Collaborative
In 2019, IGHI was selected as a partner for the Global Patient Safety Collaborative (GPSC), an alliance between the World Health Organization and the UK government.
The GPSC helps countries collaborate at global, regional and national levels to focus on patient safety. Through innovative programmes of education, training and research, the alliance works with selected low and middle-income countries to improve their healthcare systems and scale up global action on patient safety.
Our Master’s degrees
Harnessing the varied expertise across our centres, we help deliver a number of master’s programmes at Imperial in patient safety, healthcare and design, health policy and medical robotics and image-guided intervention.
Each of our degrees is hosted by one of our centres and features expert teaching from IGHI researchers. As our courses are suited to healthcare professionals, many of our degrees are part-time or offer flexible teaching.
NHS Digital Academy
Set up in 2018, the NHS Digital Academy trained more than 300 health and care professionals to date. Through this programme, we empower digital changemakers to drive technology transformation in their organisations and the health and care system.
Commissioned by NHS Health Education England in partnership with NHSX, the Academy is delivered by a partnership of Imperial College London’s Institute of Global Health Innovation, the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh, HDR UK and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
