As we mark International Women’s Day, it is worth reflecting not only on the progress made toward gender equality, but also on the everyday leadership demonstrated by women in their communities.

At the Centre for Responsible Leadership, we are celebrating our collaboration with Agents of Change an initiative conceived on International Women's Day 8 years ago. This programme has been supporting women from local neighbourhoods to develop ideas that address challenges in their communities. 

Programmes like this remind us that leadership is not confined to boardrooms or political offices. Leadership often begins in neighbourhood groups, local initiatives, and community networks where women identify challenges and work collaboratively to solve them.
