What is the Hub?

The Hub is the Business School’s virtual learning environment. Before your programme starts, you will be able to access some important pre-programme information and modules via this platform. The Hub will be your first point of contact for any information or documents relating to the programme (e.g. timetables, course materials, past exam papers, etc.).

We will contact admitted students when they have been enrolled to the modules and are able to access them. Please do not attempt to access your Hub account before you receive this email.

Logging in to the Hub

When you have been enrolled onto the Hub we will email you to let you know. Before you are able to access the Hub, you will need to activate your ICT account. There will be instructions of how to do this in the email you receive. Once your ICT account has been activated, you will be able to login to the Hub using the same username and password as your ICT account. Please note, your log in details for your Imperial Gateway account will not change once your ICT account has been activated.

As many courses contain rich media content, including video material, it is recommended that you use a strong internet connection when accessing the Hub.

If you have been contacted about Hub access but experience problems with your Hub account, please contact thehub@imperial.ac.uk.

Careers

In addition to your programme specific pre-study modules, Careers have designed an online programme on the Hub that will enable you to be prepared for when you start on campus.

The programme includes:

Study skills – Four interactive modules provide practical advice on working in groups, time management, presentations, exam preparation and writing skills. They include videos of recent students describing their experiences of studying at the Business School, some of the challenges they faced, and their suggestions for overcoming common problems.

Foundations for Careers Success – This module will help you develop your career strategy, understand how to effectively market yourself and ultimately find a career that is right for you.

The CV development process – Develop your CV in line with the Business School’s recommended format. You are required to complete the CV Online Module, upload your CV to our CV Preparation Platform, and work through the improvements recommended for your CV.

Sector specific training – Grow your sector interview knowledge with our online modules and eResources dedicated to Finance, Consulting, Energy, Sustainability and Social Impact, Health, FMCG and Technology, Media and Telecoms.

1:1 career appointments – Bring what you have learnt in the previous steps to a 1:1 appointment with a Careers Consultant.
