As a member of the CFA University Affiliation Program, Imperial College Business School helps students from MSc Finance and MSc Investment & Wealth Management to obtain their Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which is the most recognised investment credential in the world.
The CFA Institute is an international organisation that codifies the skills and training of investment professionals. Its CFA Program is a global standard qualification and a prestigious addition to a students’ Curriculum Vitae when applying for top-tier finance firms.
Curriculum
As part of the CFA University Affiliation Program, MSc Finance and MSc Investment & Wealth Management have been verified as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) in the curriculum, including ethical and professional standards.
This means the curriculum for these programmes is closely tied to professional practice and prepares students well to sit the CFA examinations.
CFA student scholarships
To help students start their CFA journey, we offer seven scholarships to MSc Finance and MSc Investment & Wealth Management students who opt to take the Level 1 or Level 2 examination in June during their programme.
Scholarship recipients get the program enrolment fee of 450 USD waived and the exam registration fee is reduced to 350 USD – this fee usually ranges from 650 to 1,380 USD. Find out more on the scholarship here.

CFA Institute Research Challenge
Each year, Imperial College Business School enters a team into the CFA Institute Research Challenge. The global challenge, which sees entrants of more than 5000 students from over 1000 universities, provides students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis.

We provide professional CFA exam support and a revision package in joint-partnership with Kaplan Schweser, which is open to all Finance Master’s programmes taking the CFA exams.
