Making the most of your summer in London
Studying in London is an exciting opportunity to explore the diverse and abundant social and cultural activities, and an ideal location from which to explore the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe.
That’s why when you join Summer School at Imperial College Business School, we encourage you to get involved in a host of social and cultural activities that we organise for you to enjoy alongside your studies. Sometimes the best networking takes place outside the classroom!
Please note that all events on the social programme are ticketed and will be limited on a first-come-first-served basis. The calendar below is from the 2022 Summer School, 2023 activities will be published soon.
Activities and trips are not included in the course fees and you will need to pay additional costs.

Wednesday 6 July, 18.00-20.00 (starting at High Street Kensington Station)
This guided tour of the Royal Village in Kensington will introduce you to the neighbourhood where Imperial College Lonodn is based. You will wander through Europe’s most select residential street, passing by the handsome old Kensington Palace, home to the late Diana, Princess of Wales (and, latterly, Princes William and Harry); Kensington Gardens; London’s most attractive and unusual mews; regal avenues; beautifully kept squares; a clutch of the world’s greatest museums and so much more.
Saturday 9 July, 10.00-18.00
Join a tour of the beautiful city of Cambridge, led by an alumnus of the university. First up is a walking tour of some of the most famous Colleges and other highlights around the streets of Cambridge. Then, spend an hour cruising down the river in one of the city’s iconic punts. Ticket prices are inclusive of a return train ticket from London Liverpool Street.
Tuesday 12 July, 19.30-22.15

One of London’s longest running shows, Wicked lifts the curtain on one of the most popular stories of all time, to show an alternative reading of 'The Wizard of Oz' that challenges our preconceptions of what is 'good' and what is considered 'wicked'. The unlikely friendship of Elphaba and Glinda at Shiz University leads to a powerful tale of love, acceptance and friendship and will delight those familiar with the original wonderful story.

"The boat party was the most enjoyable. Cruising along the River Thames was one of the most amazing nights I’ve had in London. Furthermore, the chill and fun environment also made it super easy to interact and make new friends with people from different courses on the Summer School programme."
