Full-Time MBA Mentoring Programme Information Session | Tuesday 16 June, 12.00 - 12.30 BST

We are delighted to host this session as an invitation for you to take part in the Full-Time MBA Mentoring Programme. Join Xiaobei Wu (Careers Consultant) to find out more about this incredible opportunity. This programme is open exclusively to our incoming Full-Time MBA cohort to support and accelerate your transition into and beyond Imperial Business School, helping you make the most of a one year MBA programme to achieve your career goals.

This mentoring programme is a 2-step programme in which you will be:

  • Mentored by a student from the exiting class during the months of July to December 2026.
  • A senior alumnus working in your industry, functional area and location of choice for the months of February to July 2027. The Full-Time MBA Mentoring Programme is fully embedded in your Personal Leadership Journey and builds on it as you increase your self-awareness, explore your career options and implement your post-MBA career strategy.

Industry sector webinars

Join our industry sector MBA careers webinars to explore opportunities in Consulting, Finance and TMT (Technology, Media & Telecoms). Each session will give you an overview of the sector, timelines and careers support available, alongside insights from current MBA students who have gone through the process themselves.

An Introduction to Consulting Careers

The first part of the session, led by Mark P. Daley (Careers Consultant & Consulting Sector Lead), covers:

  • The shape of the industry
  • Overview of the global Consulting market
  • The Careers resources available to you, and how to use the summer well

You will then hear from two current Full-Time MBA students. They will talk about their own experience, including the events, workshops and Careers support they drew on, and take your questions.

An Introduction to Finance Careers

The first part of the session, led by Luke Morton and Katherine Holdstock (Finance Sector - Careers Consultants), will cover:

  • The main areas of interest within the finance sector and a realistic picture of where MBA opportunities sit
  • How recruitment works across finance, including timelines
  • The Careers resources available to you, and how to use the summer well

You will then hear from two current Full-Time MBA students who have been focused on entering the finance sector. They will share their background, the transitions they are making, and how they used coaching, networking support and other Careers resources along the way.

An Introduction to TMT Careers

The first part of the session, led by Robert Preda (Careers Consultant & TMT Sector Lead), covers:

  • An overview of the TMT sector and what recruitment looks like, particularly in the UK
  • How to use the time before and early in the programme, where building your network often counts for more than early applications
  • The Careers resources available to you

You will then hear from two current Full-Time MBA students who recruited into TMT. They will talk about their experience, including the Careers support they used, and answer your questions.
