The world’s first global dataset that focuses on corporate sustainability actions.
At the core of the Leonardo Centre’s activities is the GOLDEN Sustainability Dataset, developed in collaboration with the GOLDEN for Impact Foundation.
To date we’ve recorded more than 1.3 million sustainability initiatives extracted from over 75,000 corporate sustainability reports published by over 18,000 companies across 86 countries and spanning the last 30 years.
Through advanced AI applications, our algorithms identify each sustainability initiative described in corporate sustainability reports and categorise them according to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, to the type of corporate behaviour and to their key beneficiaries.

Our dataset unlocks a world of opportunity for business sustainability analysis and informed decision making - to a wide variety of users. The Leonardo Centre’s Data Lab team work with colleagues and stakeholders to prioritise a range of research applications and tools to exploit the data for best impact.
