Imperial College Business School is pleased to offer significant scholarship funding to our most talented applicants for the September 2019 intake of MSc Financial Technology.

MSc Financial Technology scholarships

Imperial College Business School is committed to closing the gender gap in business, and passionate about supporting talented women pursuing a career in finance. We are therefore pleased to offer scholarships of up to £20,000, to exceptional female candidates.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • An exceptional academic background, typically a strong first class honours degree or international equivalent
  • A strong track record of leadership and/or leadership potential
  • Your references

Deadline

You must submit your application and essay by 1 March 2019 to be considered for this scholarship.

How to apply

Candidates who apply before 1 March 2019 and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically be considered. Your personal statement should highlight your leadership experience so far and what you have learnt from it. We are especially interested in hearing about any participation in diversity initiatives in your university or professional experience.

Whether it’s AI, automation, analytics or more, the world of business is being rapidly shaped by technology and innovation. At Imperial College Business School, we drive business advantage through the fusion of business and technology and an entrepreneurial mind-set. We are delighted to launch a new Technology and Innovation Scholarship, with awards of up £20,000 available to recognise students who can demonstrate experience of using technology to innovate.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A demonstrable passion for innovation and technology
  • A strong academic background and/or academic potential
  • The overall strength of your application and references
  • Your responses to the scholarship essay question, as outlined below

Deadline

You must apply no later than  1 March 2019 to be considered for this scholarship; however, early application is strongly recommended to increase your chance of receiving an award.

How to apply

All candidates must submit an essay in response to the following questions:

  • Describe a time when you used technology to find an innovative solution to solve a specific real-world problem or meet a certain goal

Your essay should be no more than 700 words in total and should be submitted via email to bs.fintech@imperial.ac.uk by 1 March 2019. Emails should state ‘Technology and Innovation Scholarship’ and your CID number in the subject line.

At Imperial College Business School, it is our mission to benefit business and improve society. We are delighted to launch a new Social Impact Scholarship, with awards of up £20,000 available to recognise students who demonstrate outstanding citizenship and commitment to supporting their community and/or social causes.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Outstanding citizenship and commitment to supporting their community and/or social causes.
  • A strong track record of leadership and/or leadership potential
  • The overall strength of your application and references
  • Your responses to the scholarship essay questions, as outlined below

Deadline

You must submit your application and essay by 1 March 2019 to be considered for this scholarship.

How to apply

To be considered for this scholarship, you must have applied for the programme commencing in September 2019 and submitted your answers to the questions below by 1 March 2019.

  • Describe your role in the social impact project or initiative that you feel most proud of being involved in.
  • How do you plan to use your MSc to benefit business and society?

Your essay should be no more than 700 words in total and should be submitted via email by 1 March 2019. Essays must be submitted via email to bs.fintech@imperial.ac.uk. Emails should state ‘Social Impact Scholarship’ and your CID number in the subject line.

Scholarships of up to £10,000 are available for applicants demonstrating all-round excellence.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • An excellent application, demonstrating academic merit, strong professional or internship experience, clear career plan and leadership potential.
  • Your references

How to apply

Candidates who apply before 1 March 2019 and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically be considered. Please use your personal statement to highlight your proudest achievements inside and outside the classroom.

Scholarships of 50% of the MSc Financial Technology tuition fees are available for Imperial College London students or alumni with exceptional academic performance and a strong overall application.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Exceptional academic performance in an Imperial degree, typically at strong first class honours level. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date and predicted performance
  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance
  • Your academic references

How to apply

Imperial College London students or alumni who apply before 1 March 2019 and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically be considered for this award. Please use your personal statement to highlight your proudest achievements inside and outside the classroom.

Candidates awarded an Imperial College scholarship will be ineligible for an Imperial alumni loyalty bursary.

Please note: The waiver must be requested before you submit your application, and cannot be retrospectively applied.

We welcome applications from Imperial College London alumni. We offer a 10% bursary on tuition fees to successful candidates with an undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • An undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date and predicted performance

Deadline

To be considered for this bursary, you must submit your application by TBC.

How to apply

Imperial College London students or alumni who apply before the above deadline and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically receive this award.

We cannot guarantee the availability of Imperial Loyalty Bursaries for applications received after the deadline.

Other sources of funding

  • Other merit or needs based scholarships. For example, Imperial College London offers postgraduate scholarships and The British Council offers scholarships for international students.
  • If you are a Lebanese student, or of Lebanese descent, Lebanese International Finance Executives (LIFE) offers scholarships to students, with financial needs, in order to pursue their academic aspirations in the field of finance. The scholarships are a unique combination of financial support and mentorship by a LIFE Senior Member who will provide guidance and advice to the scholars on their professional objectives.   • A Professional and Career Development Loan is a government-backed commercial bank loan that UK residents can use to help pay for work-related learning. Imperial College London is a Professional and Career Development Loans registered Learning Provider, registration number 7477.   • If you are a Home student or an EU student who meets certain criteria, you can apply for the Postgraduate Loan for Master’s study (PGL) from the UK government. See the gov.uk website for more information.
