How can we build successful and impactful deep tech ventures?

In everything from biotech to quantum computing, carbon capture to new sustainable materials, the rapid advancement of deep tech is urgently needed to solve some of the most pressing problems facing society today. Disruptive innovations in science and engineering have the power to change the world but require collaborative ecosystems with multiple contributors to be effectively commercialised and brought from lab to market.

At Imperial College Business School’s seventh annual conference, business leaders and policy makers, alongside world-class academics, will discuss the financing, incentives, business models and institutional settings that are critical to turning technological discoveries and deep tech startups into successful high-impact enterprises.

Our key themes will include:

  • Deep tech financing and alternative funding models, and the associated challenges facing investors and venture capitalists
  • How large companies can effectively engage with long-term research and development enterprises
  • Government procurement, funding and policy and the UK’s position as a global leader in innovation
  • The scaling of deep tech ventures
  • The role and impact of universities as a fundamental part of the deep tech ecosystem

This exclusive event has been designed for senior executives with an interest in transforming business and society through the power of deep tech. Delegates will have the chance to add their voices to the discussion and network with key people from business, government and academia.

*This event is invitation-only however we encourage you to register your interest and will be in touch if places become available.
