The 2020-2021 student-led career clubs have hit the ground running with several exciting events delivered over the last couple of months.  The scope of activity so far, from club specific training sessions to multi-university industry events, has been truly impressive and demonstrates an advanced approach to virtual delivery.

One of the largest events to date is the inaugural Healthcare Summit hosted by the IB Healthcare Club just last week. The event was designed to offer insights, experiences and advice from industry experts to those interested in a career in healthcare, and from all reports it did just that!

With 9 panellists and over 400 attendees from all major universities and business schools across the UK and Europe, the successful management and delivery of the event was undoubtedly a great accomplishment by the IB Healthcare club.

The summit included three events over three days from November 30 – December 2, and featured a standout selection of panellists from three of the biggest sectors in healthcare: healthcare consulting, pharma and digital health.

President of the IB Healthcare Club Irina Pajares explained that “the objective of the event was to be as engaging and interactive as possible, bringing together industry experts and students to explore some of the biggest sectors in the industry,”. The format of the event included panels and subsequent networking opportunities to achieve this.

The impressive panel of speakers represented diverse functional areas and job tiers, and came from companies including:

  • Boston Consulting Group (BCG)
  • Accenture
  • Prescient Healthcare Group
  • AstraZeneca
  • Roche
  • Google
  • Babylon Health
  • Flatiron Health

This is just one of the many events delivered so far with many more to come, so make sure to keep an eye on the Career Clubs social media accounts for relevant opportunities.
