At Imperial College Business School, we offer a range of Master’s programmes that will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue your career ambitions. Our programmes include Finance, Management and a range of Specialised Masters’.

We are pleased to offer significant scholarship funding to our most talented applicants for the September 2019 intake of our Master’s programmes. Our suite of scholarships recognises students with outstanding academic accomplishments, leadership potential and who are committed to supporting their community.

Scholarships for all MSc programmes

Social Impact Scholarship - £20,000

At Imperial College Business School, it is our mission to benefit business and improve society. We are delighted to offer awards of up £20,000 available to recognise students who demonstrate outstanding citizenship and commitment to supporting their community and/or social causes.

Technology and Innovation Scholarship - £20,000

Whether it’s AI, automation, analytics or more, the world of business is being rapidly shaped by technology and innovation. At Imperial College Business School, we drive business advantage through the fusion of business and technology and an entrepreneurial mind-set. We are delighted to launch a new Technology and Innovation Scholarship, with awards of up £20,000 available to recognise students who can demonstrate experience of using technology to innovate.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A demonstrable passion for innovation and technology

  • A strong academic background and/or academic potential

  • The overall strength of your application and references

  • Describe a time when you used technology to find an innovative solution to solve a specific real-world problem or meet a certain goal

Imperial Business Scholarships - £10,000

Scholarships of up to £10,000 are available for applicants demonstrating all-round excellence.

  • All MSc programmes except MSc Business Analytics (online delivery, part-time)

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • An excellent application, demonstrating academic merit, strong professional or internship experience, clear career plan and leadership potential.

Bseisu-Imperial College London Scholarship - Full tuition fee

The Bseisu-Imperial College London Scholarship has been established with the generous support of the Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation to help realise our vision of attracting brilliant minds to Imperial, regardless of their financial circumstances.

We invite applications for this award from candidates who are ordinarily resident in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan, and are pursuing a full-time MSc programme commencing in September 2019.

One award covering the full programme tuition fees is available.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship you must be a self-funded student who demonstrates:

  • A very strong academic background and potential for future success

  • A track record of professional excellence and achievement through internships and/or work experience

  • Ordinary residence in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan

  • An intention to return to your country of residence

  • Financial need

Deadline

You should have submitted your application by Friday 24 May 2019 to be considered for this scholarship.

How to apply

Candidates are required to answer the following essay question to be considered for the scholarship:

“What life experiences have shaped who you are today and how have you overcome adversity to excel in education? How do you think these experiences will help you in today’s rapidly changing world?” (700 words maximum)

When you submit your application, please email your essay answer to business.school@imperial.ac.uk stating the name of the scholarship and your CID number in the subject line.

Candidates who apply by the deadline and meet the residency requirements will be automatically considered for this scholarship and asked to submit their answers to the essay question if they haven’t already.

Programme specific scholarships

The Lee Family - Imperial College Business School Scholarship - Full tuition fee and maintenance grant

Thanks to a generous gift from the Lees Charitable Foundation, we are delighted to announce a new scholarship programme for 2019. The Lee Family – Imperial College Business School Scholarship has been established to support talented alumni of Imperial College London pursue their Master’s degree at Imperial College Business School.

This full scholarship covers tuition fees and a maintenance grant of approximately £17,000 to support living expenses, and is offered to Imperial College London students or alumni with exceptional academic performance in their undergraduate degree from Imperial and a strong overall application.

  • MSc International Management

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Exceptional academic performance in an Imperial undergraduate degree, typically at strong First Class Honours level. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date and predicted performance

  • Demonstrable evidence of your potential for future academic success

  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance

  • Your academic references

As the Lee Family – Imperial College Business School Scholarship covers the full tuition fees, the successful candidate will be ineligible for an additional Imperial alumni loyalty bursary and/or an additional GMAT Excellence award (MSc International Management only). If any such awards have already been received, the award of the Lee Family – Imperial College Business School Scholarship will supersede them.

MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship - Full tuition fee

Our new MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship is available to applicants demonstrating an outstanding track record of leadership and/or outstanding leadership potential, a focused career plan and a strong overall application. Awards covering the full tuition fee for the programme are available.

Eligibility criteria

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability and passion to become a visionary business leader. To be considered for this scholarship, you must display leadership qualities and exceptional career potential in your application.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A strong track record of leadership – this may include during your studies, work experience and internships, and/or within your community

  • Outstanding future leadership potential

  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance, including a good academic background, a strong CV and a well-researched career plan

  • Your academic and/or professional references

Deadlines

You must apply no later than 18 February 2019 to be considered for this scholarship; however, early application is strongly recommended to increase your chance of receiving an award.

MIM Global Leadership Scholarship - Full tuition fee

Our new MIM Global Leadership Scholarship is available to applicants demonstrating an outstanding track record of leadership and/or outstanding leadership potential, a focused career plan and a strong overall application. Awards covering the full tuition fee of £30,500 are available.

Eligibility criteria

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability and passion to become a visionary business leader. To be considered for this scholarship, you must display leadership qualities and exceptional career potential in your application.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A strong track record of leadership – this may include during your studies, work experience and internships, and/or within your community

  • Outstanding future leadership potential

  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance, including a good academic background, good GMAT performance, a strong CV and a well-researched career plan

  • Your academic and/or professional references

Deadlines

If you want to be considered for this scholarship, you should submit your MSc International Management application by 18 February 2019 for the first decision committee or 4 April 2019 for the second decision committee. Early application is strongly recommended to increase your chance of receiving an award.

Brilliant Minds Scholarship - £20,000

Scholarships of up to £20,000 are available for applicants showing outstanding academic merit, a strong overall application and who otherwise may not be able to fund study at Imperial College Business School.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Exceptional academic performance, typically at First Class Honours level or international equivalent. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date and predicted performance

  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance

  • Your academic references

  • A strong GMAT score, which must be submitted by the scholarship deadline (MSc International Management only)

Entrepreneurship Scholarship - £20,000

Entrepreneurship and innovation are in our DNA at Imperial – and we recognise the value that young entrepreneurs with startup experience bring to the cohort, by enhancing peer learning with real-world experience.

We are delighted to offer a scholarship of up to £20,000 for MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management candidates with experience of starting their own business enterprise and the potential to launch new and exciting ventures in the future. The recipient of the Entrepreneurship Scholarship will be expected to be a dynamic player in the entrepreneurial community at Imperial, by sharing their experiences, contributing to existing initiatives and driving new ones.

Imperial has a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem with initiatives including the Enterprise Lab a physical space found under the library that supports and fosters entrepreneurial activity; Imperial Innovations – the technology transfer office for Imperial College London; Imperial College Advanced Hackspace, who focus on the ideation and prototyping of ideas; and ACT Now, an incubator programme for social entrepreneurs, and the WE Innovate programme which helps aspiring female entrepreneurs develop their ideas.

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Experience of starting your own business venture – either individually or as part of a team.

  • A clear desire to continue your entrepreneurial journey at Imperial, and to contribute to enterprise activities within the Business School and entrepreneurial life across the College.

  • Ambitions to scale an existing idea or business plan through the skills, network and experience you acquire during the programme.

  • Your responses to the scholarship questions, as outlined below.

  • Your performance during the admissions process, including your written application, interview performance and your professional references

All candidates must submit an essay in response to the following questions:

  • Why are you the perfect young entrepreneur for Imperial College Business School to offer a scholarship for MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management?
  • How would you use your time at Imperial to further your entrepreneurial ambitions?

Your answers can be submitted in the format of your choice (such as a written statement, PowerPoint presentation or video) via email by 1 March 2019 to mscinnovation@imperial.ac.uk. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an additional interview before a final decision is made.

Women in Finance Scholarship - £20,000

Other awards

Bright Network application fee waiver

We are delighted to support talented students by offering Bright Network members an application fee waiver. Please note the waiver covers the £50 application fee, but applicants are still required to pay full tuition fees. If you are already a member of the Bright Network, please email us at business.school@imperial.ac.uk with your name to request your discount code. If you are not yet a member of the Bright Network, please sign up, where you will also be given the discount code.

Please note: The waiver must be requested before you submit your application, and cannot be retrospectively applied.

GMAT Excellence Awards - £3, 050

Eligible programme

  • MSc International Management

We know how much hard work goes into preparing for the GMAT, and so we are delighted to offer the new GMAT Excellence scheme to recognise and reward the highest achievers, with a £3,050 award for candidates who achieve an overall score of 750 or higher.

Candidates with an overall GMAT score of 750 who receive an offer for the MIM programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically receive the award as a reduction to their tuition fees.

Imperial Loyalty Bursary - 10% of the tuition fees

We welcome applications from Imperial College London alumni. We offer a 10% bursary on tuition fees to successful candidates with an undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit.
