Imperial Business Scholarship - up to £5,000

We are pleased to offer Imperial Business Scholarships to applicants who demonstrate all-round excellence.

Awards of up to £5,000 are available for applicants to the online, part-time programme.

Eligibility

Candidates who apply before the deadlines below and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2020 will automatically be considered. Please use your personal statement to highlight your proudest achievements inside and outside the classroom.

Whether it’s AI, automation, analytics or more, the world of business is being rapidly shaped by technology and innovation. At Imperial College Business School, we drive business advantage through the fusion of business and technology and an entrepreneurial mind-set. We are delighted to launch a new Technology and Innovation Scholarship, with awards of up £20,000 available to recognise students who can demonstrate experience of using technology to innovate.

How to apply

We would like to find out more about you and your suitability for the scholarship via your video response to the following question, which you should prepare for in advance:

  • Describe a time when you used technology to find an innovative solution to solve a specific real-world problem or meet a certain goal.

Your video should be no longer than 3 minutes and must be submitted and recorded via our partner Kira Talent, by 2 March 2020. When you are ready to record your video, please click here to access Kira Talent.

Please have your College Identification Number ready to enter.

There will be a short practice session to help you get used to the platform. Upon submission, you will have 30 seconds to gather your thoughts, followed by 3 minutes to record your answer. We’re looking for the best in you and are interested in your experience and skills, so please don’t worry if you make the occasional stumble or mistake – we’ll be looking at the big picture of what you’ve told us.

Next steps after you have submitted: We receive a high volume of applications and need to review each one carefully, so it could be some time before you hear from us, but we will contact you as soon as we can to let you know the result of your application.

The Bseisu-Imperial College London Scholarship has been established with the generous support of the Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation to help realise our vision of attracting brilliant minds to Imperial, regardless of their financial circumstances.

We invite applications for this award from candidates who are ordinarily resident in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan, and are pursuing a full-time MSc programme commencing in September 2020.

One award covering the full programme tuition fees is available.

How to apply

Candidates are required to answer the following essay question to be considered for the scholarship:

  • What life experiences have shaped who you are today and how have you overcome adversity to excel in education? How do you think these experiences will help you in today’s rapidly changing world? (700 words maximum)

Eligible offer holders will be contacted by the Student Financial Support team with details of how to submit their scholarship application, which must be received by 22 May 2020.

  • Be an offer-holder to a full-time MSc programme, commencing in September 2020 and a self-funded student who demonstrates
  • A very strong academic background and potential for future success
  • A track record of professional excellence and achievement through internships and/or work experience
  • Ordinary residence in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan
  • An intention to return to your country of residence

Candidates awarded an Imperial College scholarship will be ineligible for an Imperial alumni loyalty bursary.

We welcome applications from Imperial College London alumni. We offer a 10% bursary on tuition fees to successful candidates with an undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit.

We are delighted to support talented students by offering Bright Network members an application fee waiver. Please note the waiver covers the £80 application fee, but applicants are still required to pay full tuition fees. If you are already a member of the Bright Network, please email us at business.school@imperial.ac.uk with your name to request your discount code. If you are not yet a member of the Bright Network, please sign up, where you will also be given the discount code.

Please note: The waiver must be requested before you submit your application, and cannot be retrospectively applied.

I was one of two recipients of the Business School Dean’s Fund scholarship. Imperial is an extremely competitive school and so being recognised in this way out of the hundreds of students in the Business School me feel proud and validated. It also made me feel like I had made the right decision to pause my career and pursue higher education.
