Imperial Business Scholarships

Imperial College Business School is committed to attracting brilliant minds, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. These awards recognise strong applicants who demonstrate the ability and passion to meet the challenges present in today’s dynamic global business environment to make a positive difference as socially responsible leaders. Successful applicants will have a strong application including academic and professional achievement, demonstrated through the written application and interview.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A good academic background, and an excellent track record of professional achievement
  • Your performance during the admissions process, where academic and professional merit will be judged
  • Your professional references

We review applications for scholarships in rounds throughout the year. Candidates who submit a complete application by the deadline below will be notified if they are successful.

April 2020 intake

All candidates should address the requirements of the scholarship in their personal statement.

Dean’s Excellence Award

This award is given to prospective students who demonstrate exceptional academic and professional accomplishments, and are impactful leaders, embodying the key elements of Imperial College Business School’s mission and vision. They should be passionate about meeting global business challenges and driving positive change as a socially responsible leader, committed to benefiting business and society.

The 2019-20 award is up to £15,000.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A very strong academic background and an excellent track record of professional achievement
  • Your performance during the admissions process, where academic and professional merit will be judged
  • Your professional references
  • A first class honours degree, or international equivalent, preferred.

The deadline for the Dean’s Excellence Award is 11 October 2019. In order to be considered for this award, you will need to submit your application no later than the confirmed date. Please note that there are a limited number of these awards available and these will be issued on a rolling basis.  To ensure you have the best chance, we would encourage you to submit your application at the earliest opportunity.

Future Leader Award

Scholarships are available for applicants in the early stages of their career who demonstrate rapid progression, a strong track record of leadership and/or outstanding leadership potential, a focused career plan and a strong overall application.

The 2019-20 award is up to £15,000.

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A very strong academic background and an excellent track record of professional achievement
  • Your performance during the admissions process, where academic and professional merit will be judged
  • Your professional references
  • A first class honours degree, or international equivalent, preferred.

Loyalty bursary

Your Imperial degree opened doors after graduation. Now, find out how an MBA can help open new opportunities to accelerate or pivot your career, with a 10% reduction in fees for the Weekend MBA. This bursary is available to candidates who have previously been awarded an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate Master’s degree by Imperial College London.

The bursary is a 10% reduction in the total fees for the Weekend MBA starting in April 2020.

The bursary is available to candidates who have previously been awarded an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate Master’s degree by Imperial College London.

Eligible candidates who receive an offer for the Weekend MBA programme commencing in April 2020 by the Round 7 application deadline of 10 January 2020 will automatically receive the bursary as a reduction to their tuition fees.

Women’s Scholarships

The two Imperial Women’s Scholarships of up to £10,000 are available to female candidates showing exceptional academic achievement and professional excellence. We particularly welcome candidates with a demonstrable commitment to supporting women in business initiatives, mentoring schemes and those who act as a role model for other women within their organisation.

Two scholarships of up to £10,000 are available.

Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and professional excellence.
The scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:

  • The information supplied in your original application to the programme, including a good academic background and an excellent track record of professional achievement
  • Your performance during the admissions process, where academic and professional merit will be judged
  • Your professional references
  • Open to female candidates only
