What are the telephone campaigns?
Our telephone campaigns are an exciting opportunity for students to make an important contribution towards attracting essential philanthropic support from alumni and friends of Imperial.
During each campaign, we aim to contact around 7,500 alumni, sharing news and upcoming events at Imperial, and inviting alumni to support the College through a range of giving opportunities. These donations will help to fund projects across the College, from outreach and mentoring programmes to scholarships and financial support for current students. For more information about our current fundraising priorities, visit the giving homepage.
Last year we raised over £250,000 to support many different initiatives at Imperial. We hope to continue this success during our summer appeal, the final campaign of 2017-18.
The telephone campaign isn’t just about fundraising; it is also a great way for Imperial to stay in touch with its alumni and build a long term relationship with them. Alumni enjoy hearing about what it is like to be a student at Imperial today, and reminiscing about their own experiences.
Join the team this year!
The College is looking to recruit a dedicated team of trained student fundraisers who are passionate about Imperial and enjoy the opportunity to engage with the alumni community. The summer 2018 appeal will run for five weeks, from Monday 11 June to Sunday 15 July.
The telethon is a great opportunity to boost your CV, and the professional skills you will develop are highly valued by employers. We will support you with training throughout the campaign, and you will have the opportunity to speak to alumni who studied a similar course and who have lots of careers advice to offer. It's a great networking opportunity, not only with other current students but with alumni as well.
Interviews will be held from Monday 4 June through to Wednesday 6 June on the South Kensington Campus.
Students who are successful at the interview stage must attend the compulsory paid training on Saturday 9 June (10:00 - 17:00) and Sunday 10 June (10:00 - 17:00).
