Regulations for Taught Programmes of Study

All new and continuing taught programme students are governed by the Regulations for Taught Programmes of Study 2025.2026 with the exception of those listed in the boxes below which are governed by Regulations B

Regulations for Students

Please note that this regulatory document which previously applied to all students, was rescinded for academic year 2024/2025 onwards. Details of the relevant continuing regulations/terms of registration that were previously included in this document can be found in the Regulations for Students (rescinded) mapping document.

Guidance for Regulations B

Continuing Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students that commenced prior to October 2019, did not complete with their cohort and have not transferred to the curriculum reviewed version of the programme. This would be expected to be students that are on 6-year programmes such as MBBS and have final repeat assessment to complete.

If you are a continuing student that commenced before October 2019 and you are unsure if which academic regulations your studies are governed by, please contact your programme administrative team in the first instance.

Continuing Part Time Postgraduate Students

Postgraduate students that commenced the following programmes in 2022/2023 or before, have not completed their studies, and have not transferred to the 2023/2024 onwards version of the programme.

Concrete Structures MSc (3-year part time)
Earthquake Engineering MSc (3-year part time)
General Structural Engineering MSc (3-year part time)
Structural Steel Design MSc (3-year part time)

All other continuing postgraduate taught students are on 'Regs A'. If you are unsure which academic regulations you are governed by, please contact your programme administrative team in the first instance.
