On-campus accommodation

Key information
Residential programme
Where will I stay during the residential programme?
During the Summer School, you will stay in our Prince’s Gardens halls of residence. The Prince’s Gardens halls are located next to the South Kensington Campus, meaning you will be a short walk away from classes and a range of other campus facilities. Living in real student halls will give you the chance to experience life as an Imperial student.
Prince’s Gardens halls are situated in the heart of London, less than 10 minutes’ walk away from South Kensington underground station. In South Kensington, you will be surrounded by some of London's most famous cultural treasures, including the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and V&A Museum.
What are the room facilities?
All rooms are en-suite and have one safe per student where you can store small valuables, money and passports.
- Linen and towels will be provided and there is a laundry room on-site should students wish to wash clothes. Laundry credit can be purchased through a mobile phone app.
- Hairdryers can also be hired for a deposit of £10 which will be refunded once the hairdryer is returned.
- There is a convenience store next to Prince’s Gardens where you can buy drinks and snacks.
Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are forbidden during Global Summer School. Imperial College also operates a smoke-free policy, and smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus.
Is the on-campus accommodation safe?
A residential team of pastoral mentors provide round-the-clock support and supervision in halls of residences to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students.
In addition, all halls of residence have a swipe card or fob entry, CCTV and 24-hour manned security offices.
