Where will I stay on campus?
During the Summer School, you will stay in our Prince’s Gardens halls of residence next to the South Kensington Campus in central London. Staying on-site means you’ll have the chance to experience life in real student halls and be just a short walk to classes and a range of other campus facilities.
Our campus is in South Kensington in the heart of London, the best student city in the world. Here you will be surrounded by some of London's most famous cultural treasures, including the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and V&A Museum, all of which are less than 10 minutes' walk away.
Prince's Gardens accommodation facilities
Your accommodation will be assigned to share with another student on the programme. You will share a twin en-suite room with student of the same gender or, in some cases, a single room.
All rooms are en-suite and have one safe per student where you can store small valuables, money and passports.
- Linen and towels will be provided and there is a laundry room onsite should students wish to wash clothes. Laundry credit can be purchased through a mobile phone app.
- Hairdryers can also be hired for a deposit of £10 which will be refunded once the hairdryer is returned.
- There is a convenience store next to Prince’s Gardens where you can buy drinks and snacks.
Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes is forbidden during Global Summer School. Imperial College also operates a smoke-free policy, and smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus.

Catering and meal
The programme fee includes three freshly prepared meals per day, served in one of our on-site catering outlets.
A buffet-style full English or continental breakfast will be served in the Senior Common Room. This includes:
- Bowl of cereal or fruit salad

You will be provided with vouchers to buy lunch on campus. This generally covers a sandwich, crisps, fruit or chocolate and a drink.
The evening meal includes a selection of hot main meals and dessert. A vegetarian option will always be available. We can cater for a range of other dietary requirements with advance notice.
For full-day trips, you will be provided with a packed lunch; some meals may also be provided off-campus on evening excursions.
