Summary

Childhood is a fundamental life stage for human capital formation, which, in turn, is a key determinant of productivity, economic growth and social development. This project is designed to understand how the health of secondary school children (aged 11 to 19 years) is influenced by the characteristics of the physical and virtual places in which they spend their time. It also intends to develop ways of assessing the degree of social and economic progress of those places, starting from the skills and productivity (human capital) of the communities that populate those places.
