The Lee Family – scholarship and grant

Amount
Full tuition fees and a maintenance grant of approximately £17,000
Eligibility

Thanks to a generous gift from the Lees Charitable Foundation, we are delighted to announce a new scholarship programme for 2019. The Lee Family – Imperial College Business School Scholarship has been established to support talented alumni of Imperial College London pursue their Master’s degree at Imperial College Business School.

This full scholarship covers tuition fees and a maintenance grant of approximately £17,000 to support living expenses and is offered to Imperial College London students or alumni with exceptional academic performance in their undergraduate degree from Imperial and a strong overall application. 

How to apply

Candidates who apply before the scholarship deadline and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically be considered.

As the Lee Family – Imperial College Business School Scholarship covers the full tuition fees, the successful candidate will be ineligible for an additional Imperial alumni loyalty bursary and/or an additional GMAT Excellence award (MSc International Management only). If any such awards have already been received, the award of the Lee Family – Imperial College Business School Scholarship will supersede them.

  • Exceptional academic performance in an Imperial undergraduate degree, typically at strong First Class Honours level. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date and predicted performance

MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship

Eligibility

Our new MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship is available to applicants demonstrating an outstanding track record of leadership and/or outstanding leadership potential, a focused career plan and a strong overall application. Awards covering the full tuition fee for the programme are available.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability and passion to become a visionary business leader. To be considered for this scholarship, you must display leadership qualities and exceptional career potential in your application.

How to apply

All candidates must submit an essay in response to the following question:

Describe the time when you had the most impact as a leader.

Your essay should be no more than 700 words in total and should be submitted via email by the scholarship deadline. Essays must be submitted via email to mscfinance@imperial.ac.uk. Emails should state ‘MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship’ and your CID number or application reference number in the subject line.

As the MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship covers the full tuition fees, successful candidates will be ineligible for additional awards from Imperial College Business School. If any such awards have already been received, the award of the MSc Finance Future Leaders Scholarship will supersede them.

Eligibility

Scholarships of up to £20,000 are available for applicants showing outstanding academic merit, a strong overall application and who otherwise may not be able to fund study at Imperial College Business School.

How to apply

All candidates must submit an essay in response to the following question:

Describe your greatest academic achievement, and why this is a particular source of pride for you.

Your essay should be no more than 700 words in total and should be submitted via email by the scholarship deadline. You can find the relevant email address on the scholarships page for your programme of interest. Emails should state ‘Brilliant Minds Scholarship application’ and your CID number or application reference number in the subject line.

Requirements
  • Exceptional academic performance, typically at First Class Honours level or international equivalent. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date and predicted performance

We are therefore pleased to offer scholarships of up to £20,000, to exceptional female candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and career potential. 

How to apply

Candidates who apply before the deadline and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically be considered. Your personal statement should highlight your leadership experience so far and what you have learnt from it. We are especially interested in hearing about any participation in diversity initiatives in your university or professional experience. Early application is strongly recommended to increase your chance of receiving an award.

Whether it’s AI, automation, analytics or more, the world of business is being rapidly shaped by technology and innovation. At Imperial College Business School, we drive business advantage through the fusion of business and technology and an entrepreneurial mind-set. We are delighted to launch a new Technology and Innovation Scholarship, with awards of up £20,000 available to recognise students who can demonstrate experience of using technology to innovate.

How to apply

All candidates must submit an essay in response to the following questions:

  • Describe a time when you used technology to find an innovative solution to solve a specific real-world problem or meet a certain goal

Your essay should be no more than 700 words in total and should be submitted via email by the scholarship deadline to: business.school@imperial.ac.uk. Emails should state ‘Technology and Innovation Scholarship’ and your CID number or application reference number in the subject line.

At Imperial College Business School, it is our mission to benefit business and improve society. We are delighted to offer awards of up to £20,000 available to recognise students who demonstrate outstanding citizenship and commitment to supporting their community and/or social causes.

How to apply

To be considered for this scholarship, you must have applied for your programme commencing in September 2019 and submitted your answers to the following questions by the deadline.

  • Describe your role in the social impact project or initiative that you feel most proud of being involved in.

  • How do you plan to use your MSc to benefit business and society?

Bseisu - Imperial College London Scholarship

The Bseisu-Imperial College London Scholarship has been established with the generous support of the Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation to help realise our vision of attracting brilliant minds to Imperial, regardless of their financial circumstances.

We invite applications for this award from candidates who are ordinarily resident in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Jordan, and are pursuing a full-time MSc programme commencing in September 2019.

One award covering the full programme tuition fees is available.

How to apply

Candidates are required to answer the following essay question to be considered for the scholarship:

“What life experiences have shaped who you are today and how have you overcome adversity to excel in education? How do you think these experiences will help you in today’s rapidly changing world?” (700 words maximum)

When you submit your application, please email your essay answer to business.school@imperial.ac.uk stating the name of the scholarship and your CID number in the subject line.

Candidates who apply by the deadline and meet the residency requirements will be automatically considered for this scholarship and asked to submit their answers to the essay question if they haven’t already.

Scholarships of 50% of the programme tuition fee are available for Imperial College London students or alumni with exceptional academic performance and a strong overall application.

Imperial College London students or alumni who apply before the deadlines above and receive an offer for the programme commencing in September 2019 will automatically be considered for this award. Please use your personal statement to highlight your proudest achievements inside and outside the classroom.

Early application is strongly recommended to increase your chance of receiving an award.

Eligibility

We are delighted to support talented students by offering Bright Network members an application fee waiver. Please note the waiver covers the £50 application fee, but applicants are still required to pay full tuition fees. If you are already a member of the Bright Network, please email us at business.school@imperial.ac.uk with your name to request your discount code. If you are not yet a member of the Bright Network, please sign up, where you will also be given the discount code.

Please note: The waiver must be requested before you submit your application, and cannot be retrospectively applied.

Imperial Loyalty Bursary - 10% of the tuition fees

Eligibility

We welcome applications from Imperial College London alumni. We offer a 10% bursary on tuition fees to successful candidates with an undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit. 

How to apply

Imperial College London students or alumni who apply before the above deadline and receive an offer for the programme will automatically receive this award.

We cannot guarantee the availability of Imperial Loyalty Bursaries for applications received after the deadline.
