Imperial is participating in a read and publish agreement with IWA Publishing, an internationally recognized publisher of peer-reviewed research on water, wastewater and related environmental fields, and subsidiary of the International Water Association supporting water-wise solutions and advancing water science and sustainable resource management.

The agreement includes:

  1. Unlimited open access publishing by University of Bath affiliated corresponding authors, without payment of article processing charges (APCs), in all IWA Publishing journals.
  2. Read access for the university community to IWA Publishing’s Complete Journals Collection, including over 50,000 research articles dating back to 1996.
  3. Read access for the university community to IWA Publishing’s eBooks Collection (2002 to 2025); consisting of over 800 eBooks  on all aspects of water-related research with content applicable for students, researchers, and practicing engineers https://iwaponline.com/pages/ebooks_collection

By publishing open access, authors retain copyright of their articles, which are published with Creative Commons CC BY, CC BY-NC, or CC BY-ND licenses.

To publish open access in IWA Publishing journals, corresponding authors should submit their manuscript using their Imperial affiliation and email address – they will be automatically identified as eligible for the agreement.
