Scholarships available for entry in September 2021
Africa Regional Scholarship
Imperial College Business School is proud to be a global organisation with students from all over the world. To encourage this further, we are offering scholarships to African students who we believe would contribute to the Imperial community.
Applicants who are resident in one of the 54 African countries (as defined by the United Nations) will automatically be considered.
How to apply
Candidates who submit their MSc programme application before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Successful candidates will be notified by the Admissions team.
- A strong overall application with excellent academic background, career potential, references and personal statement.
Bright Network Scholarship
Scholarships of up to £10,000 are available for members of the Bright Network.
All successful applicants who are members of the Bright Network will be automatically considered.
How to apply
Candidates who submit their MSc programme application before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Successful candidates will be notified by the Admissions team.

British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM
Imperial College London is pleased to announce the British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM for the 2021/22 academic year.
In partnership with the British Council, Imperial College London is offering six scholarships for female students studying on an eligible programme from one of the countries listed in the eligibility section.
The scholarships have been created with the aim to help address the under-representation of women in STEM. Applicants will be required to demonstrate their financial need and how they would inspire future generations of women to pursue a career in STEM.
Each scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend for a year and a return flight. It also covers other related costs including the IELTS exam fee, visa application, NHS surcharge and study materials. Additional funding is available if scholars have caring responsibilities.
To apply for British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM, you must:
- Be a passport holder and permanent resident of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru or Venezuela
- Return to the country of your citizenship for a minimum of two years after your course/scholarship has finished
- Agree to maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the UK and engage with activities as part of a British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM alumnus during and after your study in the UK

How to apply
Candidates who submit their MSc programme application and all supporting documents before Sunday 7 March 2021 and receive an offer for the programme by Friday 26 March 2021 will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. You can then apply for the scholarship here on the Imperial College London website.
- Demonstrate a case for financial need
- Demonstrate your interest in the programme that you are applying for and that you are active in your chosen field
- Demonstrate that you are willing to contribute in the future to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduating from Imperial College London and returning your home country
- Demonstrate in your application that you plan to engage other women and girls in STEM from your home country

A video assessment is required for this scholarship, and you can submit your video assessment here once your application has been submitted.
In the three-minute video response, you will need to explain how you have had an impact in one of the areas mentioned above, and how you plan to further contribute in this area before and after your studies.
Imperial Excellence Scholarship
Scholarships are available for applicants demonstrating all-round excellence in their application and interview performance.
All successful applicants will automatically be considered.

LATAM Regional Scholarship
Imperial College Business School is proud to be a global organisation with students from all over the world. To encourage this further, we are offering scholarships to Latin American students who we believe will contribute to the Imperial community.
Applicants who are resident in one of the 20 Latin American countries (as defined by the United Nations) will automatically be considered.

LGBTQ+ Scholarship

In the three-minute video response, you will need to explain why you would be a good candidate for the LGBTQ+ Scholarship and how you will support diversity and inclusion in education, the workplace and society.

Bursaries and fee waivers available for entry in September 2021
Bright Network application fee waiver
We are delighted to support talented students by offering Bright Network members an application fee waiver. Please note the waiver covers the £80 application fee, but applicants are still required to pay full tuition fees. If you are already a member of the Bright Network, please email us at business.school@imperial.ac.uk with your name to request your discount code. If you are not yet a member of the Bright Network, please sign up, where you will also be given the discount code.
Please note: The waiver must be requested before you submit your application, and cannot be retrospectively applied.
Imperial Loyalty Bursary - 10% of the tuition fees
We welcome applications from Imperial College London alumni. We offer a 10% bursary on tuition fees to successful candidates with an undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit.
How to apply
Imperial College London students or alumni who submit their MSc programme application before the above deadline and receive an offer for the programme will automatically receive this award.
We cannot guarantee the availability of Imperial Loyalty Bursaries for applications received after the deadline.
- An undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date & predicted performance
If you are offered an Imperial College Business School scholarship or Imperial Loyalty Bursary and are subsequently offered a larger award by us, the larger one would supersede the first award and would not be in addition to it.
Scholarships awarded by Imperial College Business School are in the form of a reduction of the tuition fee. Therefore, if you receive another scholarship that pays the full tuition fee directly to the College, you cannot also receive a scholarship from the Business School.
