About Global Summer School
Global Summer School welcomes more than 550 students, representing over 50 nationalities to Imperial every year. The two-week programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop their STEM subject knowledge and gain practical skills alongside likeminded students, while adding weight to their future university applications.

Clare Whelan - Global Summer School Development Manager
Building on the Global Summer School's track record of success, Clare is responsible for devising new ways to improve the programme and ensuring the best experience for the students. Clare is enthusiastic about developing new partnerships with schools, sponsors, institutions and industry to enhance student opportunities.
Claire Arnup - Global Summer School Manager
With over ten years of experience delivering global summer schools in UK universities, Claire has also volunteered and worked internationally, including South East Asia, Australia and Africa, with a passion for increasing international study and travel opportunities for young people. As programme manager Claire is responsible for all aspects of the delivery of Global Summer School.

Min Min Ei - Global Summer School Programme Executive
Min provides GSS admissions advice and guidance to prospective students and their parents. She collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and parents to create an enriching experience for summer school applicants from around the world.
Born and raised in Myanmar, Min speaks fluent Burmese and previous to supporting Global Summer School students, Min focused on student and staff accommodation.
Kaftun Mohamed - Global Summer School Assistant
Kaftun supports the Global Summer School team with the development, delivery and evaluation of the programme. This involves the planning of social events, recruitment of mentors and providing support in the assessment of student applications.
Alongside Eleanor, she acts as a first point of contact for prospective applicants in providing guidance on the application process.
Previously, Kaftun worked in an education charity supporting students in accessing higher education pathways through delivering workshops and coordinating the mentoring programme. Kaftun has a keen interest in international development, focusing on education.
Eleanor Cook – Global Summer School Assistant
With over six years' experience working in the education sector both in the UK and overseas, Eleanor has developed a keen interest in developing international education programmes.
Eleanor is responsible for supporting the Global Summer School team with programme planning, delivery and evaluation such as through coordination of GSS applications, development of the social programme and supporting the recruitment and training of mentors.
Together with Kaftun, she is the first point of contact for prospective GSS students, advising on the application process, international entry requirements and what applicants can expect from the Global Summer School programme.
